Samarai Brains

Samarai brains are a runtime environment for Havel. They can be part of an IME/NME or be dedicated services or daemons running on servers or in the cloud. Each brain is connected to a number of universal data repositories and possibly other brains.

They can act as simple knowledge bases for individual users or as shared databases for communities. They can be functional services, e.g. run a web shop or a business/community management system. They can also act as information and messaging gateways. Brain-owners can specify exactly who can access what information. Agents running in these brains can perform automated tasks, for example querying information regularly and performing an action when certain conditions are met. Brains can also interact with the outside world, for example using attached sensors or with an interface to a 3rd-party application or to a communication system.

Between each other they can communicate high-level protocol-free, using Havel expressed messages.
